- To give notice of any interests committee members may have on the items for consideration at the meeting.
3. MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE HELD ON 25 FEBRUARY 2010
- To be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Chair.
4. PUBLIC FORUM (time limit for this item - 30 minutes)
Any member of the public or councillor, provided they have given notice in writing or by electronic mail (democratic.services@bristol.gov.uk) may participate in public forum. The detailed arrangements for so doing are described in the public information sheet at the back of this agenda.

5. REVISIONS TO THE MANAGING CHANGE POLICIES (BCC & LMS)
- to approve the (revised) Managing Change Policies for the Council, and for locally managed schools
6. WORKFORCE PEOPLE STRATEGY 2010/15
- to approve the draft People (Workforce) Strategy 2010 - 2015.
7. USE OF RESOURCES - COMPREHENSIVE AREA ASSESSMENT
- to note and endorse the evidence that has been submitted in respect of the HR element of the Use of Resources assessment
8. SICKNESS ABSENCE MANAGEMENT SUPPORT LINE
- to note information regarding the 'pilot' Sickness Absence Support Line.
9. ESTABLISHMENT OF INTEGRATED LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT FUNCTION/STRUCTURE
- to note the progress that is being made to establish an integrated Learning and Development function.
10. RESIDENTIAL FUTURES - CLARIFICATION OF RING FENCE ARRANGEMENTS
- to consider the response to the committee's previous resolutions regarding Residential Futures and to approve the revised Management of Change: “Methods of Appointment” process
11. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC
Recommended - that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the consideration of the following items, on the ground that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part I of Schedule 12A to the Act (as amended).
BRISTOL CITY COUNCIL IS FULLY COMMITTED TO OPENNESS.
THE COUNCIL WILL NOT WITHHOLD INFORMATION UNLESS THERE ARE GOOD REASONS FOR DOING SO.
THE FOLLOWING REPORTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC BECAUSE THEY CONTAIN INFORMATION WHICH IS ABOUT INDIVIDUALS, LABOUR RELATIONS OR IS COMMERCIALLY OR LEGALLY SENSITIVE.
THE PARTICULAR REASONS ARE GIVEN IN EACH CASE.
12. RESIDENTIAL FUTURES - MANAGEMENT OF VACANCIES /DISPLACEDEMPLOYEES
- to consider the response to the Committee's previous resolutions, from its meeting held on 5th January 2010.

- to note that the next meeting will take place on the 3rd June 2010.
