- to report the names of persons appointed to serve on the Downs Committee for 2008/09


3. CONFIRMATION OF CHAIRMAN


- to confirm the arrangements for chairmanship for 2008/09


4. RETIRING MEMBERS OF THE COMMITTEE


- to note members of the Committee who have retired and to confirm that a letter of thanks for past services will be sent


5. DATES AND TIMES OF MEETINGS


- to approve the dates and times for meetings of the Downs Committee for 2008/09


6. DELEGATIONS-


- to approve delegations to officers for 2008/09


7. MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 1st SEPTEMBER 2008


- to be confirmed as a correct record.


8. PUBLIC FORUM


- to consider items of public forum sent to the Downs Committee. Interested parties can submit a written statement of approximately one side of A4 to the Downs Committee by sending it to the Democratic Services Officer no later than 12.00 noon on Friday 14thNovember 2008 on the contact information below.


9. REPORT OF THE DOWNS RANGER


- to update the committee on works and developments carried out since the last meeting.


10. MINOR EVENTS AND EVENTS/FILMING TAKEN UNDER DELEGATED POWERS


- to note the events and filming that have taken place between Committee meetings under Delegated Powers


11. DOWNS EVENTS POLICY FOR EVENTS ON THE DOWNS


- to seek approval of the final Policy for Events held on The Downs (Appendix A), to be distributed to all future applicants wishing to hold an event on The Downs.


12. FUNDERWORLD 2009


- to consider the issues surrounding the previous Funderworld applications and decide whether James Mellors Amusements Ltd should be permitted to host a Funderworld event on the Downs from Friday 2nd April to Saturday 18th April 2009.


13. SIMPSONS FAMILY FUN FAIR


- to seek the views of the Downs Committee regarding Steven Hill’s application to use the Downs for a Simpsons Family Fun Fair from the 9th to 17th of May 2009.


14. DOWNS MANAGEMENT PLAN 6 MONTHLY UPDATE


- to update the Committee regarding the Downs Management Plan five year plan.


15. DATE OF NEXT MEETING


The next meeting is 2nd February 2009 at 4.30pm.
