1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE AND INTRODUCTIONS
2. MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON 17th NOVEMBER 2008
- to be confirmed as a correct record.
3. PUBLIC FORUM
- to consider items of public forum sent to the Downs Committee. Interested parties can submit a written statement of approximately one side of A4 to the Downs Committee by sending it to the Democratic Services Officer no later than 12.00 noon on Friday 27th March 2009 on the contact information below.
- to update the committee on works and developments carried out since the last meeting.

5. DELEGATED AND UPCOMING EVENTS PROPOSED ON THE DOWNS
- to report on Events and Filming activity that has taken place under the Delegated Powers of the Downs Committee, as authorised by the Film Office and Events Team

6. AVON GORGE AND DOWNS WILDLIFE PROJECT - NINTH ANNUAL REVIEW
- to report for information on the ninth annual review of the Avon Gorge and Downs Wildlife Project

7. DEVELOPMENT OF THE EDUCATION PROGRAMME FOR THE DOWNS AND GORGE
- to consider a contribution towards the development of a funding bid to Heritage Lottery for a heritage education programme for the Downs and gorge.

- to seek the views of the Downs Committee regarding Steven Hill’s application to use the Downs for a Pepper Pig themed Family Event from the 10th to 12th of July 2009

9. FINAL POLICY FOR EVENTS HELD ON THE DOWNS
- to seek approval of the final Policy for Events held on The Downs to be distributed to all future applicants wishing to hold an event on The Downs

10. DOWNS MANAGEMENT PLAN 6 MONTHLY UPDATE
- to update the Committee regarding the Downs Management Plan five year plan.

11. NEW INFORMATION BOARDS ON THE DOWNS
- to consider the five information boards to include maps of the Downs and the proposed design of the display case for the information boards.

- to note the likely financial position for 2008/09

- to approves the budget for 2009/10

Please note that the next report is being considered as exempt because it contains information relating to an individual which is held by Bristol City Council.
In order to discuss the report the Committee will need to move into exempt session and request all members of the press and public to leave
14. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC
Recommended - that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the consideration of the following item, on the ground that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act as amended by paragraph 1, 2 and 3 of the the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.
15. APPOINTMENT OF THE DOWNS RANGER
- to note the changes to staffing as a result of the Parks Review
