4. PUBLIC FORUM

- to consider items of public forum sent to the Downs Committee. Interested parties can submit a written statement of approximately one side of A4 to the Downs Committee by sending it to the Democratic Services Officer no later than 12.00 noon on Friday 3rd July 2009 on the contact information below.

5. REPORT OF THE DOWNS RANGER

- to update the committee on works and developments carried out since the last meeting.

6. DELEGATED AND UPCOMING EVENTS PROPOSED ON THE DOWNS

- to report on Events and Filming activity that has taken place under the Delegated Powers of the Downs Committee, as authorised by the Film Office and Events Team

7. HERITAGE LOTTERY FUND GRANTS TOWARDS A HERITAGE EDUCATION PROGRAMME FOR THE DOWNS AND GORGE

- to approve the establishment of a small project team to lead on the development of a bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for funding towards an Education Programme for the Downs and Gorge

8. EXCLUSION OF PRESS AND PUBLIC

Recommended - that under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the consideration of the following item, on the ground that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Act as amended by paragraph 1, 2 and 3 of the the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006.

9. DOWNS RANGER COVER FOLLOWING BRISTOL PARKS RE-STRUCTURING

- to consider the proposed arrangement for Downs Ranger cover on the Downs.

- to note the report to outline the decision to cancel the Flower Show in 2009.
