Purpose:
Bid to design transport improvements for the
A4018 corridor at Crow Lane roundabout and Charlton Rd
junction.
Decision:
1. Agreed that Bristol City Council submits a bid to the Local Enterprise Partnership’s ‘Pinch Point’ Fund for up to £1.875m to be spent between 2017/18 – 2020/21
2. Agreed that should the bid be successful Bristol City Council accepts the funding and through a formal legal agreement with the LEP delivers the proposed improvements to the A4018 corridor.
3. Agreed that the Service Director for Transport be authorised to approve funds to carry out initial consultation and design work
4. Agreed that following initial consultation and design work the proposals are brought to Cabinet for approval and permission to deliver the corridor improvements
