Purpose:
To approve the expenditure of the
Accommodation for ex-offenders funding grant in line with the grant
conditions.
Decision:
To spend the allocated grant to support 30
people who have left prison in securing accommodation in the
private rented sector with support.The funding to be allocated in
the following areas:
•2 x Support Workers - £80,000
•Landlord Liaison Post - £52,704
•Combined Financial Incentives Fund - £120,000.
•An Additional Fund - £10,000 (this to be used to cover
any Temporary Accommodation top up costs).
Alternative options considered:
Option 1 - The spend is as set out in the
business plan that was submitted when applying for the grant
funding and therefore the only alternative would have been to
return the grant funding.
