The construction of a one room extension at the school will enable the provision of creche facilities, community engagement space and additional teaching space when needed. The investment will preserve space within the exiting school buildings for future flexible use to provide SEND provision. There are significant benefits to the school’s ability to deliver school places in the community by enabling creche facilities and better community engagement

To allocate £200k Basic Need Capital Grant to Hannah More Primary School to construct a one room extension at the school.

The option to halt the construction of the new room was considered. This would have risked creation of future SEND capacity and would not have provided the benefits to school and community.
