The decision is made in accordance with the
delegated authority provided to award contracts for the development
of 601 Whitchurch Lane made at April 2022 Cabinet
Decision:
Place an order to Western Power Distribution
for Electrical Connection Works to 601 Whitchurch Lane, Bristol,
including a new Sub Station and individual supplies to 14 light
industrial units and a new electrical supply to The Bottle Yard
Studios.
Alternative options considered:
Option 1 - Part of the new connection offer
included contestable works, where the Council had provision to seek
alternative quotes for those elements. Acceptance of Western
Power’s offer to undertake all works was considered the most
advantageous approach for the Council.
