Extension of the Motor Insurance Contract for 12 month period from 1st April 2023 for Bristol City Council and Bristol Waste Company.

in line with the decision pathway and scheme of delegation.
Insurance is required to be in place effective 1st April
2023.
Decision:
The decision to extend motor insurance in line
with the contract for a year for Bristol City Council and Bristol
Waste Company.
Alternative options considered:
A full retender of the contract is the
alternative option, which has been considered and rejected. On
review due to the current market conditions, and price increases in
the motor industry in respect of parts and claims costs, as well as
advice received from our external insurance advisors, extending the
existing contract represents the best value for money at the
current time.
