Purpose:

Provides income in 2024/25 to support Legible City. A new long-term contract will be tendered, subject to a future political decision.

Decision:

Extension of digital advertising screen contract between Bristol City Council and JCDecaux UK Ltd by an additional term of one year (until 31 March 2025) in accordance with clause 3.2.

Alternative options considered:

Option 1 - - Terminate contract at the end of March 2024 – no income in 2024/25 to support Legible City or provide income to the council.
Option 2 - Extend current contract in line with provisions in the contract – no assessment of best value via an open tender exercise, need for a new political decision.
