To undertake the concrete structural concrete
repair programme in accordance with the contract thus reducing the
possibility of further deprecation of the asset.

Approval to carry out Concrete Repairs to
Cumberland Basin Complex
Structural concrete repairs is a preventative maintenance process
which is used to protect any concrete structure against on going
environmental damage and also prolongs the life of the structure
and ensures the overall structural stability is maintained . The
Cumberland Basin structures form part of the strategic Network and
must therefore be kept to National Standards.
Alternative options considered:
Option 1 -
Alternative option would be to cancel which would be of detriment
of the authority undertaking its statutory and would cost the
authority more in the long term therefore rejected.
