Purpose:
The glazed roof section is in poor condition
and if not addressed will affect other parts of the property. The
building is a grade 2 listed building and the works being
undertaken have been stipulated by planning.
Decision:
To approve the commencement of the works
following the commissioning via an open tender under a JCT Form of
Contract the renewal of the glazed roof.
Alternative options considered:
Consideration was given to continue to carry
out patch repairs to the roof covering however due to the condition
of the roof this has become uneconomical.
