Purpose:

To approve the expenditure of the Winter Pressures Funding grant in line with the grant conditions.

Decision:

To spend the allocated grant to accommodate and support 55 people who are NRPF and not in priority need to leave the streets during the winter months. The funding to be allocated in the following areas:
•Accommodation (Hotels) – up to £275,106.
•Coordinator - £15,162
•Coordinator (BCC) £9,496
•Employment Support Worker - £12,326
•Development Worker - £5,144
•Tutor costs - £3,400
•Employment programme translation costs – up to £4,000
•Support Worker - £19,915
•Client food, welfare

Alternative options considered:

Option 1 - The spend is as set out in the summary of proposed spend activity that was submitted when applying for the grant funding and therefore the only alternative would have been to return the grant funding.
