Purpose:

To approve the development of a Tree Planting Plan and Tree Strategy to be adopted in April 2023 that sets out the council’s approach to significantly increasing the city’s tree canopy coverage on its land and on the adopted highway.

  1. Noted the development of a Bristol Tree Strategy and Tree Planting Plan as outlined in this report.
  2. Noted the use of the Ecological Emergency Reserve to deliver an enhanced tree planting programme for 2022/23.
