Purpose:

This project is key to Bristol City Council’s aims of delivering the Strategic Corridors programme, and Mass Transit.

Decision:

This decision follows the cabinet decision on Tuesday, 5th October, 2021 which approved “the receipt and expenditure of funding to deliver the development and submission to WECA of Businesses
Cases for each project within the Strategic Corridors Programme, of up to £3.5m”. Specifically for the A4 Portway Strategic Corridor £600k was approved.
This decision is to use £315,000 of that funding to procure services of the Strategic Partner (Arcadis) to undertake the Outline Business Case and associated design work for the A4 Portway Strategic Corridor.
