Purpose:

This provided the quickest and most efficient route to market to provide resources for mould and mechanical ventilation works considering the delays in procuring the new Responsive Repairs Framework.

Decision:

Approval to award a temporary arrangement for a provider to carry out mould and mechanical ventilation works to Housing owned occupied properties while a permanent contract is procured. Due to the delay in procuring the new Responsive Repairs framework, a backlog of mould and mechanical ventilation works has developed. This temporary arrangement will ensure BCC fulfils its statutory duty to fulfil repairs and will help avoid potential disrepair cases.
