To elect a Chair for the purpose of the Interview Panel.

RESOLVED – that Councillor Anna Keen be elected Chair of the meeting.

To note declarations of interest.

There were no declarations of interest.

The Committee is asked to pass the following resolution:

That under s.100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1, information relating to any individual, of Part 1 of schedule 12A of the Act.

RESOLVED - that under s.100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 (information relating to any individual) of Part 1 of schedule 12A of the Act.

The interview pack will be sent separately as soon as available.

Following interviews conducted with each candidate and a review of associated documents, the Committee Members shared their  own views on each individual’s performance. Following this, the committee considered the overall assessment for each candidate and Alison Hurley was the successful candidate. It was;
