22/07/2020 - Pothole fund ref: 828    Recommendations Approved

To enable full spend of budget within financial year and allow works to progress on the new Pot hole fund.

Decision Maker: Executive Director: Growth and Regeneration

Decision published: 22/07/2020

Effective from: 22/07/2020

Decision:

Additional funding has been allocated to authority to undertake further repairs to the highways of the city. The funding is allocated for 2020/21 and therefore needs to progress quickly. Therefore a decision is requested to allow spend up to £499k in advance of a full cabinet report in September to approve the full budget spend. This would allow works to be undertaken in the summer months and expand some existing summer program works. E.g. the slurry seal footway program which prevents potholes on footways would be expanded to continue into August.
