STOP SUPPORTING THE SOUTH BRISTOL RING ROAD

We the undersigned demand that BCC ceases any and all support of plans for the South Bristol Wrong Road/Orbital Scheme

Independent Government Inspectors have recently stopped the progress of a JSP into housing locally and sent a highly critical report to the local Councils about their plans.

As a result this means housing plans are now on hold and as we have always been told no houses = no road, then road plans should also now be shelved.

Notwithstanding this report, we have always believed the Road is Wrong as it would wreck Green Belt, massively increase traffic past and potentially around two sides of an infants school of over 600 children, with all the risks that would bring to it. We believe that it would also put Whitchurch Lane over it's capacity, send traffic through that would be overweight to it's current limit and of course increase air pollution into the area as a result.
