Dangerous pedestrian access under St Luke's Road Railway Bridge
We the undersigned request that Bristol City Council improve the safety of the pedestrian access under the St Luke's Road railway bridge so that school children and commuters on foot are less vulnerable to road vehicles. The railings on the left hand side approaching York Road should be extended by 30 to 40 metres and the lights that don't work should be replaced and upgraded.
There are railings that go under the railway bridge but on the left hand side travelling towards York Rd they stop too soon leaving pedestrians inc school children vulnerable to road vehicles. This pavement is well used by pedestrians all day but particularly during rush hour & school times. Only four out of six caged lights in the tunnel are currently working and they are dim and covered with debris/bird muck. The lights need to be upgraded to brighter and more efficient LEDs.
