Rename Colston Hall to the George Floyd Hall

We the undersigned Want Bristol City Council to rename the Colston Hall to the George Floyd Hall to show that Bristol stands in solidarity with black people in the UK, USA and around the world fighting against racism and discrimination, seeking equal recognition in society and an end to centuries of oppression and mistreatment of Black people.

Sign up if you want Bristol to be a beacon of cultural change. Changing the name of the Colston Hall is not just about erasing references to Bristol's past links with slavery and the oppression of black people but about fighting for justice and an end to the discrimination black people experience today. By embracing the name of George Floyd, who's death epitomises the global oppression and discrimination of black people at the hand of white people, Bristol can look forward and take a leading role in ending racism and enabling black people to be treated with justice and dignity in our world.
