The continuing commemoration of Colston shows the people of Bristol that racism and discrimination is acceptable in 2020, when it ISN'T. It also shows Bristol that they're led by a racist council. Thousands of human beings died as a result of Colston's actions, and these slaves aren't remembered at all. Pero's bridge doesn't do enough to commemorate the thousands of slaves who lost their lives.
