Bristol City Council have a policy in place to 'meet the needs of Bristol's diverse communities by promoting equality, diversity and community cohesion'
With respect to BLM and recent events, let the people of Bristol speak here to ask our council to listen the voices who ask for positive change in removing references to the evil is steeped within our history.
We can learn, reflect and remember the events in appropriate spaces but no person should have to walk a street named after the figurehead who enslaved and tortured their ancestors.
