Bayham Road Pedestrian Crossing

We the undersigned We would like the council to put a pedestrian crossing on Bayham road at the entrance to Parretts park, to allow the safe crossing of children who want to venture into the park.

This has been an issue to member of the local community for some time now. Especially when Bayham road is used as a rat run, with drivers speeding through it, due to their frustration from being caught in slow traffic on the Wells road. A petition has been created by the local residence before and it feels fitting that this should be pushed forward to help the needs of the local population https://www.thepetitionsite.com/687/395/792/demand-a-pedestrian-crossing-or-slow-down-sign-at-parretts-park-entrance-on-bayham-road./.
A pedestrian crossing would help slow the traffic down and develop a more caucious mindset for the drivers using the road as a rat run.
The Bristol Cycling Network would also like to Adopt a‘Quietway’ approach along Bayham
Road.
