Flag for the City of Bristol

We the undersigned call to have a flag officially recognised for the City of Bristol.

Currently, the City of Bristol does not have a flag. It has a coat of arms, a seal and Bristol City Council has a logo and emblem.

Similar to county/regional/provincial flags from elsewhere, the city can benefit from one unifying identity to display.
It will cross the county borders which currently divide the city.
A competition would engage the community and enable choosing an appropriate flag.
