Car Free weekends on the Downs
We the undersigned want to restrict vehicle parking and access to circular road from 8am Saturday to 8am Monday during the summer months. Allow only the tour bus/service vehicles to stop on circular road during this time.
It would allow free traffic flow around circular road at the weekends and prevent cars from double parking on the downs - which is dangerous especially for children playing. There are plenty of areas to park away with access to the downs but the viewpoint on Clifton Down is the most visited area and should be kept as un-congested as possible. This would also stop the boy racers using the downs as a racetrack.
