Since the Council introduced a 20 mph restriction on St John’s Lane, speeding traffic has greatly increased on Marksbury Road.

One knock-on effect is that residents of Marksbury Rd are now parking on the pavement to avoid speeding traffic colliding with their parked cars. Pedestrians and users of electric chairs are struggling to use pavements

This is a road where kids are walking, riding and scootering to their primary schools. I believe there have been a number of serious traffic collisions resulting in near-misses with people’s homes.

This is accident waiting to happen. Please address this ill-thought out situation by adding speed bumps to Marksbury Rd as a matter of urgency.
