Save College Road pony paddock
We the undersigned The field on College Road, Fishponds, has been home to ponies and horses for well over 50 years, and currently houses Roxy, a pony that is a delight to local residents. Bristol City Council wants to sell of the land for housing development; however, the University campus was recently sold off for development which will put a strain on the roads in the area and further development would mean more traffic on roads barely able to cope as it is. Futhermore, Roxy is a local celebrity, and children and adults alike enjoy petting and talking to her. Losing this little piece of greenery in an area that is rapidly being smothered in cement would extinguish a small spark of joy in the local community.
