We the undersigned wish to protest at the damaging plans put forward by the Mayor for the redevelopment of the Western Harbour.
All 3 options that the Mayor says are being considered all have major disadvantages in terms of environmental damage in the hybrid and Western options and major community damage with the eastern option. All are very high cost and the fourth option that has been hidden from the public is much preferred as it involves refurbishment, removal of unnecessary roads and ramps and is much lower cost. It has a better chance also of actually being delivered within a reasonable timescale and the removal of the unnecessary ramps will free up land for housing and community benefit.

This fourth option is supported by the Liberal Democrat party and we call upon the Mayor to commit clearly to withdraw the 3 options that he has put out publicly as even if not publicly supported they will have a damaging effect upon local organisations such as the Riverside garden centre
