Sleeved Power Purchase Agreement for Half-Hourly (large) electricity supplies.

 

 

•This arrangement covers around a third of total BCC electricity demand
•The new arrangements will significantly reduce BCC exposure to market prices for electricity, and will provide a supply of zero-carbon electricity.
•The current supply contracts expired on 31st July 2022, meaning that the Council is now incurring significantly more expensive off-contract rates for electricity.
•There is a clear and pressing need to maintain a compliant contract for power to supply council buildings.
