City Wide nomination

This is a limited company (limited by guarantee without having a share capital).  It has  responsibilities for the cultural development of the city.  It was originally established by BCC in partnership with the BCCI and the Arts Council during 1992

There is no requirement within the company’s Mem and Arts that councillors be appointed

There has been a presumption that the nominees will be councillors

The Board are keen that all political groups are represented on the board.  They seek nominations from the two largest parties, and seek and co-opt members from the other two parties directly.
