Purpose:

This report recommends approval of a revised Affordable Housing Practice Note (AHPN) that will provide updated guidance to developers when submitting eligible residential planning applications and incentivise developers to increase affordable housing supply in advance of a new Bristol Local Plan.

Decision:

  1. Adopted the Affordable Housing Practice Note 2018, recognising that it is only an interim measure that does not introduce new policy and supports the implementation of the existing Bristol Local Plan.
  2. Noted the responses to the engagement process in Appendix B.
