Purpose:
To seek the approval of Cabinet to invite
competitive tenders for the Council’s Casualty and Property
insurance for a maximum period of 5 years from 1 April
2022.

Cabinet:
- Approved the procurement of a new contract for Property, Casualty and Additional Cover Insurances for a term of 3 years with an option to extend for a further period of 2 years for an estimated value of £15m (over the maximum 5 year period).
- Authorised the Director for Finance in consultation Deputy Mayor for Finance Governance and Performance to take all necessary steps to procure and award the contract and invoke any extensions as set out in this report.
