Hitachi Managed Services contract renewal

Purpose:
The council’s online forms relating to
waste services use Hitachi’s proprietary software, and there
is a need to remain with this supplier so that this online service
is available to citizens. Work is being undertaken to consider
options for redevelopment of these services on a more
cost-effective platform.
Decision:
Extension of a Hitachi Managed Services
contract to continue support of online forms for waste services and
Microsoft Dynamics Customer Relationship Management Software.
Alternative options considered:
An option to cease the contract was available
but rejected on the basis of the value of the service offer to
citizens.
