Enforcement Agent Services Procurement
Decision Maker: Director: Management of Place
Decision status: Recommendations Approved
Is Key decision?: No
Is subject to call in?: No
Purpose:
To confirm the award of contracts for
enforcement agent services as per cabinet decision 18 Jan 2022
where authority was given to the Director of Finance to procure and
award the contract(s) necessary for enforcement agent services for
a maximum of 5 years (inclusive of the 1-year optional extension
period) within the existing budget envelope of £0.525m.
Decision:
Contracts will be awarded to Marston
(Holdings) Limited and Bristow
Alternative options considered:
The Council has a responsibility to recover
debt and employs a variety of means appropriate to the individual
circumstances. Enforcement agents are one method deployed to
collect debts. Failure to procure these services will limit the
ability of the council to collect debts that are due yet remain
unpaid and could impact on the delivery of services.
