On the 7th February 2023 Cabinet authorised
the Executive Director People (now Children
Decision:
To award the contract which will create a
holistic service bringing together a range of current support
services for children and young people experiencing or at risk of
child criminal and/or child sexual exploitation, as well as to meet
the statutory duty to provide Return Home Interviews for children
reported missing from home or care
Alternative options considered:
Alternative option is to carry on with
separate exploitation services as currently commissioned. This was
rejected, as it would not create a holistic service to benefit
children and young people.
