Purpose:
Bristol’s aim is to value its carers and
to recruit and retain local carers for children who need our care.
Providing an inflationary uplift on an annual basis will enable
carers to meet the needs of children. This is recognised as an
essential part of the high value package provided by Bristol City
Council.
Decision:
1) A 2.3% inflationary uplift to be applied
for full year 2019-20 to allowances for Bristol City Council foster
carers, special guardians, adopters and supported lodgings hosts
.
2) Inflation to be budgeted and applied annually thereafter in line
with MTFP inflation model
