Executive Director for People recommends additional specialist Public Health resource required to meet requirements to prevent and manage outbreaks across the city.
The team will work closely with education, adult social care and environmental health to ensure this.
Particular high risk contexts in care homes and education.

Funding is from the ring fenced Outbreak Management (Test and Trace Fund)
Funding will pay for additional public health specialist staff to provide
a 7 day Outbreak Management Response;
to provide specialist public health support to education and the care sector;
to provide loggist and administrative support for outbreak management
The decision has been made under the terms of the Outbreak Management Fund. It is requested by the Director of Public Health, Christina Gray and has been formally approved by the Executive Director, Jacqui Jenson under local authorities scheme of delegation.
The Cabinet Member for Communities, Equalities and Public Health has been informed of the decision
