Purpose:

Works has already commenced on this Project using DFT challenge funding awarded in 2018/19. The works is currently on site and the allocated funding of £166k is now fully committed. The intention of the use of this allocated funding was to commence the works in 2018/19. The intention is the continuation of the structural refurbishment works using Capital funding from the Transportation Capital Budget allocated in 2019/20.

Decision:

To continue with the refurbishment works on Bath Old Bridge which commenced on site in 2018/19, using Capital Budgets for 2019/20.

Alternative options considered:

Option 1 -
Alternative option would be to cancel which would be of detriment of the authority undertaking its statutory duty and would cost the authority more in the long term therefore rejected.
