Smart phone management support licencing

Purpose:
Samsung devices have been provided as
Smartphones for a number of projects in the Council. These devices,
which may become a corporate standard, require software that
enables management of the Samsung devices to provide the following
capability: managing deployment of apps, security updates, remote
wipe access, password reset and secure storage of data require Knox
licencing
Decision:
To award a contract for the supply of licences
for the “Knox” feature of Samsung devices.
Alternative options considered:
Alternative devices were considered, but the
cost per device and its associated MDM licence is more expensive
than the provided solution plus Knox licencing.
