Area Committee 3 Report PDF 232 KB Additional documents:
Minutes: The Community Resources Manager introduced this report. She confirmed that no decision to pre-commit expenditure could be made at this meeting pending the forthcoming change to the Area Committee arrangements as part of the Committee restructuring.
Members noted that there was CIL funding for £65,372.52 available to the Committee to select from the six requests for funding which amounted to £90,323 in total.
Councillor Craig Cheney noted that a separate commitment of £500,000 had already been made to Oldbuery Court Park. Councillor Ellie King commented that for transparency purposes I should be noted that the £500,000 allocated to Oldbury Court Park is not for the items listed in the CIL proposal.
It was noted that the remaining proposals (without the Oldbury Court Park proposal) amounted to close to the total amount of CIL funding available, thereby enabling all other proposals to be funded.
Therefore, Councillor Craig Cheney proposed that all funding apart from that for Proposal AC323P59 “Oldbury Court Estate – Bins and Seats” should be approved. Following brief further discussion, Councillor Craig Cheney moved, seconded by Councillor Lesley Alexander and upon being out to the vote, it was
RESOLVED (unanimously) – that the following schemes be approved in full:
AC323P126 – Signs and Trees for Hillfields – BCC Transport - £10,000
AC323P17 – Double Yellow Lines Crofts End Road Parking Restrictions – BCC Transport - £15,000
AC323P40 – Provision of Public Access Defibrillators – Great Western Air Ambulance Charity - £3,600

AC323P148 – Hillfields Bins for Dog Waste – Application by Bristol Waste - £4,500
and the following scheme partially funded from the remaining CIL balance:
AC323P59 – Oldbury Court Estate Funding for One Bench – Bristol Parks - £2272.52
