Cabinet
Purpose of committee
From 2012 - 2024, the Mayor formed a Cabinet. The Cabinet was made up of the Mayor and Cabinet members, each with a portfolio of services to oversee.
The Cabinet's role was to:
· provide leadership
· propose the budget and policy framework
· implement policy through strategic directors.
The Cabinet, which met in public, provided accountable leadership to the city.
Advanced public notice of key decisions for each Council year is published in the Mayor’s Forward Plan.
