We the undersigned We believe that retaining affordable housing in central Bristol is key to its continuing sustainability and diversity. We are opposed to the plans of the hospital trust to destroy 36 flats in Eugene Street, Bristol to build a 800 space car park. The plans will have an adverse impact on Air quality, are in direct contravention of both the council’s planning policies and the draft Joint Spatial Plan and the Joint Transport Strategy. We also believe that the hospital can better manage and improve its existing parking space to meet the needs of patients. We call upon the Bristol City Council: Oppose the proposals to demolish these homes and to build a multi-storey car park in this location For the Housing department or the Housing Company, once established, to negotiate the return of these homes to the city council control For the council to work with the hospital trust on a sustainable transport strategy which meets the needs of patients within the context of the Joint Transport S
