Additional government grant to support unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people between 2018 and 2020
The decision is based on identified need and
within auspices of the grant, in that this is funding to help local
authorities to development their capacity to care for unaccompanied
asylum seeker children and care leavers and can include staff
training, creating additional placements and supporting entry into
education or providing leaving care support for unaccompanied
asylum seeker children.
