Home Office Safer Streets Fund round 4
Bristol City Council has attracted significant
funding through the Home Office Grant. This additional investment
in the City, will enable delivery of a number of initiatives that
aim to reduce incidents of violence against women and girls to
include sexual harassment and drink spiking incidents. The project
includes the development of legacy products to include a Bristol
Women’s Safety Charter, anti-sexual harassment training
package for night-time economy employees and a City-Wide Awareness
campaign. The funds will also expand on the current police led
drink spiking testing pilot across the City and support the
Bristol@Night website. Implementation of these initiatives will
serve to reduce crimes against women and girls at night, reduce the
fear of these crimes and grow the power of the night-time community
from within.
