Group that Bristol City Council makes a financial contribution/subscribes to

APSE is a UK-wide local government association and is made of up of approximately 240 local authorities across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, police and fire and civil defence authorities, associate members from local government trade unions and registered social landlords.  

It exists to support its member organisations to secure continuously improving public services, through a  range of services including benchmarking, training courses, research, advice, conferences and other learning events, disseminating good practise and generating a pool of shared knowledge.

APSE also provides consultancy and interim management support to local authorities on a not-for-profit basis.
